Sounds like some exciting times are ahead for the La Crosse food scene!

La Crosse is slated to get its first food hall in June. Meanwhile, new owners are transforming an eatery in the town of Medary into an event venue.

If I was a cookie🙃
It all started with a strong craving for chocolate chunk cookies.
After opening the cupboard I saw JavaChip Oreos that needed to be used up.
Added them✔
Noticed pretty colored M&M's on the counter.
Added them✔
Still wanted chocolate chips.
Added them.✔
Still standing in front of the cupboard, wondered if adding pretzels would make a nice 'sweet n salty' combo. Pondered for a bit if I even liked 'sweet n salty' combos.
Added them anyways✔
Now presenting my oreo-chocolate chip-and m&m cookie topped with pretzel.

More than sugar cookies this weekend!
'Death by Chocolate cake' birthday cake. It is a two tier with a whipped chocolate ganache middle, silky smooth ganache topping and finished with Java Chip Oreos and Java Kit Kats.

The unofficial mascot of Simply b. bakery finally got his own cutter🐾🐶 Don't worry, it came with his friends too like labrador, corgi, setter, etc. Can't wait to try 'em out!

Progress! Swipe to see my coloring evolution😍 To think how many hours I spent on the first pastel colored set thinking 'I'll never get the deep, rich colors" I see everywhere else. Fun fact, the answer is more hours of practice and research 🙃 and I'm still learning, but pretty proud with my progress. The last set is a christmas order last month.

I got to make some...how do I put this politely... 'crap cookies" for a 'Dirty Turdy Thirty' golden birthday! Tried a new technique- splatter, love how it turned out.
