🚨 Retirement Announcement – Captain Bishop 🚨
After 28 years of dedicated service to the City of Stockton, Captain Bishop is hanging up his helmet and retiring from the Stockton Fire Department.
Captain Bishop has been a steady presence, a trusted leader, and a mentor to many throughout his career. From his early days on the engine to his final shift, he has demonstrated unwavering commitment, professionalism, and heart.
Captain Bishop began his career with us on July 1, 1997. Throughout his career, he has shown exceptional dedication, skill, and leadership. He earned his paramedic license early on and steadily rose through the ranks, serving as an Engineer and eventually a Captain.
Much of his career was spent making a lasting impact at Engine 12, Engine 2, Engine 11, and Engine 13, where his commitment to teamwork and excellence consistently stood out. On May 1, 2023, Jeremy took on a new role as Deputy Director of EMS, continuing to lead with professionalism and significantly contributing to the advancement of our EMS program.
