Thank you to MK Horsemanship for hosting our Saddle Fit Clinic on Sunday! We had an absolute blast!!! Our demo horses, Lance & Baby Doll, were at their best to help everyone learn. Thank you to everyone who attended. ❤️ we will be doing more clinics next year at MK Horsemanship.

Happy Friday! Yesterday, Hudson’s was in Elizabeth to work with Erika & her new Appaloosa boy, Steve! This fitting was special in so many ways.
Erika got Steve about a week ago & this would be her first ride on him at home. Steve has been pretty jazzed up in his new home. We tried fitting him the other day & it was a HOT mess, so we rescheduled. This time, his new best buddy, Saber, joined us to help keep him calm.
Erika has a number of saddles to choose from so we got to work to see which one would work best for Steve. Many of our clients should recognize this saddle that ended up the WINNER. 🏆
Over the 2 years, we have drug this Fabtron Easy Rider saddle as our demo saddle to almost every Western fitting appointment. Many of our Fabtron & Crates clients have had the chance to ride in it. Yesterday, it finally found its way back home. It fit Steve beautifully & away they went for Rider Up!
Steve is a big mover & this saddle helped Erika feel secure and like she was “home”. It is her saddle after all! 😁
It is always special to be a part of someone’s first ride on their new horse & we never know how it will go, but Steve was awesome! Saber was helpful as Steve‘s emotional support horse & Erika was giving us THAT smile!
Saber even got a little ba****ck ride time after- first time for this, too! Good boys, Steve & Saber!
Thank you to Erika for lending us this saddle for all this time to assist starting our business & helping our clients. We will miss it at our appointments, but we have a brand new one we will be using now. ❤️

Happy Thursday! Yesterday, UPS stopped by with a very big box full of saddles for some VERY lucky clients! 🍀
These are a few of the brand new Jump saddles from Bates & Arena Saddles that are headed to Wisconsin next week for their final fits. We cannot wait to deliver these! ❤️ Take a look!

Our demo horse, Lance, is ready to rock & rock n roll this weekend for our Saddle Fit Clinic & Workshop THIS Sunday, August 9th at MK Horsemanship in Cuba City, Wisconsin!
From 10-3pm, join Hudson’s Saddle Fitter, Kristina, & McKenzie from MK Horsemanship as they deep dive into dynamic saddle fit & how it affects the relationship between horse & rider!!
Lance will be there to help us all learn & he couldn’t be more excited about it! 🤣 Cost is $75 & includes lunch. No horse required!

Happy Wednesday! On Monday, Hudson’s headed to Streater, IL to meet this stunning Appaloosa mare, Belle, and her 2 riders, Becky & Ava!
Belle has been struggling with some serious riding issues at the canter & her owner, Don, wanted to see if saddle fit was the issue. These 2 lovely ladies both ride Belle & wanted to each have a saddle of their own to ride her with.
First up was Becky! She already had a number of saddles, so we did find one that worked great, did some pad & girth adjustments & away they went for Rider Up! Becky has been riding Belle for quite some time & these 2 are lovely together!
Next up was Ava, who has only been riding Belle for a few weeks. We brought our usual trailer full of saddles & found a cute little RS Barrel saddle fit them both & away they went for Rider Up!
To say that Belle is sensitive is an understatement. She is soft, light, responsive, reactive & very expressive. She is even a little ticklish. 😁
What we found so interesting about this fitting is how 2 riders can ride the same horse, back to back, and each get a very different horse. Becky has ridden western all her life & Ava comes from an English background. Both are wonderful riders! ❤️ Check out the pics below.
We targeted some of Belle’s issues & they started to improve right away after we fitted these saddles, so some things were saddle fit for sure.
Becky & Ava are going to keep working with her & we hope they see rapid improvement in the coming weeks in her behavior at the canter.
Congrats to Ava on her new working Barrel saddle! Thank you to Belle’s owner, Don, for reaching out! Belle is just the sweetest little Appy mare, even though we couldn’t find a single spot! 🤣
