On this Memorial Day, we’re taking a moment to remember the men and women who gave everything in service to our country.

Here in the Bitterroot Valley, it’s easy to feel grateful for the freedoms we get to enjoy: time outside, rivers close to home, family, community, and days spent doing what we love.

Those freedoms came at a cost.

From all of us at Lightweight Fly Shop, thank you to the fallen and to the families who still carry their memory. Today we remember, honor, and give thanks.

The last day of April was perfect!! I was able to finally get the upper hand on this HUGE turkey that has been giving me the slip for several days. He’s by far the coolest turkey I've ever tagged, weighing in at 25 pounds even, and spurs that could put a serious hurt on ya! I had just enough time to get him processed before hitting the river for a full day float with a couple of buddies amidst the biggest hatch I've seen so far this year. Caddis were out in full force All. Day. Long!!! I failed to get more photos/video with the action being non-stop, but believe me when I tell you that it was awesome!!
