This bear was a hard fought for bear. Rachael contacted me in March and was looking for an above average bear. Well, after 17 days of hunting, we were finally able to get her on a good one. She saw many bear along the way, but when you wait 12 years for a tag, you know what you want! Baits were producing it so we called up a good friend and started working with dogs. After 4 days of that, this morning started out slow. Ramsey took his top 3 dogs for a walk, where we thought this bear might be. Sure enough, the dogs struck, and it was on. After a nice swim across the creek, we were able to get in, empty our boots, and Rachael did the rest!
