The Ibanez RG Series

This was a special one. One of our amazing repeat clients that we met last year, brought this in along with several others to get worked on. To make it more special, this was his first guitar. Here at Guitar Rehab, we work on guitars of all price points, and as cool as that is, there's still something unique about being entrusted with "the first guitar". They usually hold unmatched sentimental value, which demands the ultimate respect.

It needed a full setup, a fret level, output jack repaired, and then of course some detailing. End of the day, it plays effortlessly, and functions flawlessly.

The Epiphone Custom ZW Bullseye Limited Edition LP

This one absolutely smokes. It came in for a setup & string change. We went through the setup, as well as the frets & electrical cavity. Everything was dialed in to play as 'Wylde' as it was intended to. See what I did there? This limited edition guitar packs some serious punch, and now plays its full potential.

The Jackson Rhoads Flying V

So a common misconception with newer guitars would be, "they're ready to go", false. Often times they need fret work & setup work to achieve their potential.

This one came in for a setup but to achieve the expectations, it needed a fret level due to the fret variances. So we leveled, crowned, dressed, and polished the fretboard. Once that was up to standards, the full setup was taken care of, dialing everything in to play exactly how it should. This one took a little more work to get it up to speed but it's handled and now it's ready.

The Schecter Blackjack SLS

This sustainiac equipped shredder came in to get its electronics checked out primarily. When the control cavity is packed with chips, wires, and other components, the likelihood of electronic quirks are more possible. We corrected the issues at hand, gave it a full setup, and its ready to go.

The Martin X Series Acoustic

This tone warrior came in for a full setup. We ran through the specs, dialed in the action, intonation, & gave it a full inspection. The sound of a Martin is difficult to beat, wonderful guitar.

The PRS Silver Sky

This one came in due to some failing electronics & lack of signal. After removing the pick guard it was discovered that a wire had been cut & detached. Here at the shop we only use premium insulated wire, and replaced the damaged wire with a new upgraded one. After finalizing the diagnostics, everything was proven to be working as it should. Fortunately this repair was done on the spot while our client waited, and was able to have it back right away to keep the tunes jamming.

The Fender Telecaster American Ultra II

This beauty came primarily for some electronics repairs. Sometimes these models have so many wires, chips, specialty pots, etc all crammed into a small cavity which can pose problems. That was the case here, where the guitar would ground out if it moved a certain way causing a cut in the signal. We opened things up, ran full diagnostics, and inspected for any loose connections. Also, checked the quality of the solder joints and looked for anything out of place. Then it was all repacked in a very particular way, which ended the grounding situation.

After everything was working, it was setup & cleaned up. Another shredder ready for battle.

A Sire with a burl top!

This one came in strictly for a full setup. It was virtually new off the wall, and played nicely to begin with. But like all guitars, a fine tuned setup by a luthier can get your instrument closer to what you want it to be most often than not. Its dialed in and plays as sweet as it looks!

The PRS Mark Holcomb SE

One of our many talented musicians brought this one in for a complete player setup. This setup includes a customized experience dialing in the action to player specs, as well as the usual key components working with the truss rod, bridge, and meticulously dialing in the intonation. This guitar has a filthy tone to match it's beauty, that only a Mark Holcomb signature can produce!

The Schecter Hellraiser-S, 7 String

This guitar needed some love but most importantly it needed to be setup, and the electronics fixed. The sustainiac pickup system is an extremely fun tool to have on your axe but given the nature of the beast, they can be problematic. This one in particular had a flat line tone when using the 3rd harmonic position on the mini toggle. Along with that, a wire was damaged at the double battery box.

We replaced the battery box with a new double box to match the original, adjusted the sustainiac to eliminate the unwanted noise, and dialed this guitar in to play with incredibly low - buzz free action.
