Second Time Around Consignment

Hi everyone,

Since i just cant never seem to get a break. Its the holidays

I want to take a moment to share a bit more context about the closure of my consignment shop and what’s been happening behind the scenes. This past year has been incredibly challenging, not just economically but also personally. The decision to close the shop was not something I took lightly; it was sudden and dramatic for me as well, and certainly not my personal intent or desire.

In addition to the economic struggles, I went through a divorce and became a single income household. I even made the choice to move out our home with my three children to try to keep the shop afloat by paying its bills first. Unfortunately, despite all those efforts, it still wasn’t enough to save the business.

I know that this came as a shock to many of you, and I genuinely understand the frustration. But please know that I did everything I could to handle obligations as fairly as possible, starting from the larger accounts down. I covered bills, taxes, and made the choices I believed were the most responsible under the circumstances. I did not make out with anyone’s money or am I living the high life. I too am struggling all while trying to support my children and make a living the best I can in a town that has so much hate.

Attacking me on social media doesn’t change what happened or help anyone move forward. I acted in good faith, and now I have to move on as well. Thank you to those who understand, and I appreciate your respect as I close this chapter.

Guessing from the amount of messages I have received today in regards to accounts

DUE TO THE NEW SALON MOVING IN, THAT I SOLD THE BUILDING OR SOMETHING I DIDNT OWN THE BUILD NOR DID I GET ANY MONEY FROM PEOPLE RENTING THE BUILDING THE AMOUNT OF HATFUL MESSAGES I HAVE RECEIVED FROM PEOPLE THINKING THAT IS WHAT HAS HAPPENED IS DEFINITELY NOT THE CASE AND PLEASE DO NOT GO BY THE LOCATION DEMANDING ANYTHING THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH SECOND TIME AROUND

the store has been permanently closed down idk if anyone truly understands what that means or how it works. It has been a complete nightmare to say the least I’m still paying final bills that were just posted for closing the business along with clearing everything with the state comptroller and sales and tax uses

I have paid out what accounts I could working from my greater accounts first. Some may not understand that it was all I could do and im not living it up. I’m barely making it. I’m a single mom with 3 kids and I too have lost my place of employment and having to do what I can to make ends meet personally for my family…

It’s the holidays and this year has been the worse try to remember we’re all human and no one is perfect and business was closed that’s never an easy decision so please have some grace and remember we’re not promised tomorrow and this world is already full of ugly people try and be better be kind be understanding

It saddens me to inform my amazing customers, friends & family that the shop has came to and end for my personally self “Ruby” I have owned the store now 4 years and they have been amazing 4 years. This year has been very different for me with many changes that happened to better my mental health and my family and the shop is the final part of that change.

It is in the works for someone to take over and start something new with the shop and location so “that information will be posted at a later time”

With all that said it means HUGE HUGE SALES HAPPENING AND STARTING TODAY
