Quick sharpening video. This isn’t a how-to, it’s just what works for me.

Can’t beat that feeling

Last month, I began prototyping a series of wall clocks. This is version 1.1, based off of the design of Paul Sellers. This is still a prototype and because this is an art piece, there are more versions to come. Now I’m going to shift into making some stained versions and using more than just pine to see how it evolves.

Very grateful to have been able to make this project for my home-store, Lowes #1597! Although this is just a snack bar, I was asked by my store managers to make this to commemorate our upcoming store survey event, and was given the inspiration by coworkers of mine. I graciously accepted and had a blast building this project. The Pallet Wood bar was made using mostly pallets, and has a simple rustic look thanks to the pallets themselves. It was a great experience building for my store, and I get to see it being used everyday.

Another coffee table this week, this time I restored an old one. I’ve had this basic pine table for years and finally got around to working on it. After a good sand, I left the top natural, instead staining it dark as it previously had been. This way, you’re able to see the grain and character of the natural pine. I decided to go with a green satin paint for the legs, which I think compliments the natural top nicely. This table has a lot of character with its heart cutouts on the legs, and the wedged mortise and tenon support. Check the last photo for a before and after.

As always, thank you for the support!
