✨ Why are we buying by the pound?
Other thrift stores that buy from the public offer approximately 25% of their selling price to you, which we have also adopted for purchasing physical media. However, because of our unique business model, we cannot accurately calculate the total selling price until AFTER we dry clean the clothing, especially because repairs and stains are an up charge on our dry cleaning bill.
✨ One pound of clothing isn't even a lot, right?
In our trials, we have found that a blazer, a pair of jeans, and two T-shirts weighed about 3.5 lbs., which would be a payout of $10.50 to you. For a few items, you'd be surprised how much they weigh.
✨ Why should you sell us your stuff?
Items in good condition do not need to be thrown out just to end up in a landfill that devastates the locals and environment nearby. The items in these landfills often remain for decades. Donating or selling these items helps to alleviate the stress these landfills cause, and extended the life of a perfectly good item. Some corporate thrift stores who accept donations end up throwing out your donated bag anyway, so that good deed turns into an unintended environmental disaster.
✨ How will you get paid?
You will get paid ON THE SPOT either in cash or in store credit. For store credit, we will give you a physical card that you are responsible to present for your next purchase.
✨ When are you buying items?
Every day, no appointment necessary, starting Aug. 20, 2026!! Please note that it is usually just me (Soph) and I hope not everyone will come at once despite the huge amount of interest in this! If it becomes overwhelming to do alongside my dally tasks, this will have to be adjusted and I hope you can understand that. But that's also just a "what if" !!
