From living very close to Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge in NYC to now living in birding mecca Arizona we have seen some great birds and met lots of great photographers. Cool Birds started out just sharing our own photos but has expanded to show the beautiful photos of birds all over the US from photographers and birders that share their photos publicly. You *have* to appreciate the birds you never w

ould think live in New York City. Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge is located on a small island that is in both Queens and Brooklyn, it is a unique haven for migrating birds. Then moving to Arizona and seeing the wonderful migrating birds that specifically stop in the Sky Islands of SE Arizona has added a whole new level of cool birds!

Enjoy this short collage video of a seagull grabbing some lunch at Rockaway Beach in Queens New York City. It grabs something yummy, keeps it away from the other gulls, gobbles it midair then looks for an encore.
