As we try to get back into a regular routine, we wanted to take a moment to give a post-tornado update and to say thank you.

We wish we had new information to share, but the destruction of The Lobby leaves us in a holding pattern. So much of our future depends on how our insurance claim shakes out.

As it has been for many, it’s been a rough couple of weeks, but your generosity and encouragement has helped to carry us a bit. Each sweet message, social media share, GoFundMe donation, and heartfelt note about what Union Studio means to you has truly touched our hearts. Thank you so much for showing us what community looks like.

As you may have seen yesterday, Friday’s tornado completely devastated The Lobby by Union Studio. There is virtually nothing left. All the furniture, fixtures, and inventory were lost, and we were not able to recover any sellable art or goods. It’s a heartbreaking loss, especially for the 150 St. Louis artists who rely on The Lobby and Union Studio.

We were hesitant to start a GoFundMe, but so many of you have reached out asking how you can support us and the artists we work with. We are uncertain what the future holds for The Lobby and Union Studio, but we’ve decided to open the door to your generosity.

Your donations will help us:
Cover lost wages for our staff
Compensate artists for losses
Support Union Studio through this uncertain time

We are sad to share that The Lobby was destroyed in yesterday’s tornado. We are lucky and so grateful that our whole team is safe. Our hearts are broken for everyone experiencing loss in our city, including our talented artists whose work is gone. The Lobby is closed until further notice. Take care of each other.

An exciting community gathering happening at The Lobby!

You will receive valuable information to protect your family's inheritance! Probate delays and reduces your generational wealth transfer when you have passed on. It all starts with a conversation! Come meet the professionals that care to educate us and check out The Lobby by Union Studio they provide free community space and it 's a VIBE!!

Updated EVENT CANCELED due to the tornado we have to pivot and have partnered with Better Family Life, Inc. and RMSTL of Metro St. Louis and serve free lunch and dinner daily, 12 - 6 pm while providing a consistent place in Academy where people can walk to pick up supplies, lunch and dinner. We are a drop off/pick up station with everything being donated from diapers and cold water, toiletries to tarps. Today sheets of plywood were dropped off to help the volunteer contractors get more homes boarded up and roofs tarped. Our community service is being praised by our residents. They are, like me, truly grateful for all the support. Keep praying and keep sending your support. We feel it and we can see the neighborhood again slowly! We thank you and we thank God for you!
