James Regier's Models I've been creating 3D objects for some time, so this is a place to display and eventually sell them.

About a month ago, we had to clear the 3D printer area of the basement to make way for a replacement HVAC drain line. Sometime during the week it was in storage, the motherboard on my printer decided to die. After consulting with Elegoo tech support, I ordered a new motherboard. I also ordered a new Saturn 4 Ultra 16K. The motherboard repair worked, so now I have two working resin printers. Meanwhile, the kids were griping that I was always printing models for folks, but never any toys for them. Because Elegoo was having a good spring discount, we also got a new Centauri Carbon FDM printer.

Here's the new printer complex. I'll be getting back to drawing up new projects soon.

It's been an "interesting" month. Had to dismantle the 3D printer area to make way for a new HVAC drainage pipe. We built it back better, so that the printer table is now on top of properly leveled metal shelving instead of saw horses.

Unfortunately, the printer's motherboard decided to call it quits over the week and a half that we had it in storage. Diagnosis took a while, but a new motherboard is on the way. Meanwhile, Elegoo was having a pretty good sale. A new Saturn 4 Ultra 16K resin printer arrived today, and a Centauri Carbon FDM printer is on its way.

Also, turkey season is coming. A fan holder I've designed was on the first batch of prints, along with a few airhorns and other locomotive details.

Some O scale testing. Check out that seat on the binder. It’s the same as HO, but really pops in O.

Now available in HO and O scales: the flared wagon. Good for most eras, and compatible with the Pick-An-Era wheel system (shown here with the steel wheels). This wagon was built to haul grain from the field to the market, or to farmyard storage. $15 in HO.

Pick an Era!

There's a lot of agricultural equipment out there that's been maintained and in service for generations. The wheels are among the key things that changed over the years, and probably the most visible.

Steel wheels were the first evolution from the old wooden wagon wheels.
As regulations changed, some of those spoked steel wheels received rubber tires, while others were built with rubber tires to begin with. Finally, solid hubs were developed.

While new equipment all comes with solid hubs, the older hubs continue to be used.

Representation of all these areas is now possible with wheel sets available for each. The hubs are universal for all my new trailers, including the hay rack, the flared side wagon, and anything coming. I have also upgraded the threshing machine for compatibility, since some were later upgraded with rubber tires on spoked wheels. Most models will come with a default set of wheels -- in testing, I've found that if all three are included in each kit, a junk pile develops quickly -- but you can specify a different set at no extra charge when ordering, or wheel sets will be available for $5 each.

Now available in HO and O : this hayrack. I have designed it incorporating scale lumber dimensions for a 8x16' surface, with 2x6 joists laid lengthwise to support a floor of 2x6 boards laid horizontally, with 2x4 reinforcements on the end, complete with scale nails to fasten it together. It rides atop an IH-inspired running gear. Bolted to the gear in the front axle with chains in the back to aid the wagon's ability to negotiate rough terrain.
