Now I know what you’re thinking… zucchini in bread?! Trust me on this one — you can’t taste it at all. It just makes the bread extra moist and rich. We’ll have samples in the fridge so you can try it for yourself!

I’ve heard these mimosa trees are considered invasive…

…but have you seen them??

Fluffy pink blooms that look like cotton candy growing on a tree? I’m not asking questions, I’m just enjoying it.

Some things don’t have to make sense—they just get to be pretty. And this one is putting on a full show right now. 💕

Thursdays are my dough days 🥖

Normally, I like to start with a clean kitchen… but after a crazy week, this one needed a full reset first. So before the flour starts flying, we’re cleaning things up and getting back to square one.

I’ve always loved watching cleaning videos (there’s just something so satisfying about it), so I thought I’d share a little “clean with me” moment before jumping into sourdough prep.

Also—trying out my new Meta glasses for POV filming! Still getting the hang of it, so bear with me… it might feel a little Blair Witch Project at times 😅 but I think they’re going to be really fun once I get better with them.

I came across this old flyer I made for Coco’s Cottage back when I was taking classes in Sustainable Agriculture, and wow… it’s kind of surreal to look back on.

So much of this little dream on paper has actually become real life.

Some things have changed along the way though. I used to picture agrotourism—people coming out to pick their own veggies, walking the garden, making a whole experience out of it. But if I’m being honest, the liability side of that makes me nervous. This kind of work is beautiful, but it’s also messy. I’m constantly covered in bug bites, scratches, and sore muscles… it’s just part of it.

I also thought I’d want a big greenhouse, but that was more for the assignment than my heart. Truth is, I’d take digging in the dirt over anything else. Maybe one day I’ll have a small greenhouse for starting plants, but being out in the garden is where I’m happiest.

This flyer was just a piece of a much bigger final project (like… 10 pages worth 😅), but this is really where the idea of turning a dream into a business started.

I didn’t finish the degree. They really leaned toward commercial farming, and that just wasn’t me. I wanted something slower, more personal… something that felt like home.

And somehow, piece by piece, that’s exactly what Coco’s Cottage is becoming.

Blackberries are out here doing whatever they want.

Half of them are ready, half of them said “give me a week,” and a few are still pretending they’re not even berries yet.

If you’ve ever picked wild blackberries, you know—it’s a whole treasure hunt. A little patience, a few scratches, and purple fingers by the end of it.

But it’s worth it. Always is. 💜

I’ve been tossing around an idea and wanted to hear from y’all 🤍

Would you be interested in pre-ordering sourdough loaves for Saturday pickup at the farm stand?
Or is part of the fun coming out and seeing what’s fresh and available each weekend?

I know some of you come early to snag your favorites (and I love that 🥹), but I also don’t want to take away that “farm stand surprise” feeling if that’s something you enjoy.

Let me know what you think —
✨ Pre-orders
✨ First come, first served
✨ Or maybe a mix of both?

Your feedback really helps me plan better and bake smarter for everyone!

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave so much for our freedom. ❤️🤍💙

We are incredibly grateful for the sacrifices made by those who served and their families. Because of them, we’re able to live this simple, beautiful life we love so much.

From our little cottage to your home—thank you.

I snapped this photo today just to remember some information on a business card—but in the background was one of our homegrown tomatoes.

And it stopped me for a second.

In the middle of a hard week, it felt like a quiet reminder of how much there still is to be grateful for. The simple things. The things we grow with our own hands. The small comforts that somehow mean the most.

We’re starting to feel like things may be turning a corner and hoping for a move to a regular room soon.

Thank you all so much for the continued prayers and support—it truly means more than we can say.

Caught this sweet moment of one of our girls hitchin’ a ride on Travis like it’s totally normal. Around here, the chickens aren’t just livestock… they’re family 💛
