We have been closed down since mid July when a friend, disabled veteran pleaded with me to give him a room to stay in to get out of the Villager Hotel. Against my better judgement I did in the spirit of helping a friend and veteran.

I told him that the room had no plumbing and he said he'd pay to have it repaired. I told him I was in no position to pay for it but he insisted on staying.

Long story short, I was assaulted and brutally attacked and he took over the entire building changing the locks and removing all of my business signage. He crammed everthing in the business into two rooms.

I had him evicted and in the process he cut all of the wiring and more from a $75,000.00 embroidery machine, cut all of the wiring from 6 heat presses and from 5 engraving machines.

It will take me several months to get the rooms cleaned out and assess the total amount of damage. While moving out they attempted to steal all of the inventory in the business. Probably $5,000.00 + in Shirts, hoodies, hats, blankets, bags and more.

I appreciate all of you who have supported Springfield Awards & Apparel. I'll be closing the business as Springfield Awards & Apparel and opening with a new plan, new products and a new name. I'll not be open on a daily basis but limited hours and by appointment.
