back in march, I announced I was stepping away from florals. Yesterday I finished out my last wedding on the books. Makayla & Shannon booked in April of last year, so this one was worth the wait. 🫶🏽

As I was driving to , I was flooded with emotions. My husband and I got married her a little over 4 years ago, same vibes & color scheme. Our wedding was the whole reason and spark that created Pampas & Petals. So for this to be the location of my last one, meant something special.

I’ve been doing showers, elopements, and other small events behind the scenes this year, because I do still love flowers and the art of creating. So maybe one day I’ll be back to doing weddings. Here’s a walk down memory lane of some of my amazing weddings & styled shoots.

Pampas & Petals started in 2021, shortly before I became pregnant with my daughter. It grew just as quickly as my belly bump did. Lol. I left my full time career back in 2023 to pursue this floral dream because it was just absolutely exploding and I couldn’t keep up with it all. The wedding industry was booming and I had a wedding almost every weekend, sometimes multiple. I’ve always had the entrepreneur mindset in me and knew I wanted to always be my own boss. I had saved up, got all my ducks in a row and was ready to take the leap. Then the economy happened. We all felt it, whether you owned a business or not. Couples weren’t booking, weddings got smaller, and budgets got tighter. Unfortunately, flowers are at the top of the DIY list when it comes to weddings. Then more and more fresh florists started offering rental options like myself as well.

Since I took this leap of faith, I started a clothing boutique, my husband joined the military and my daughter has become my world. At the beginning of February, I decided I was heading back to work. I knew this was the right choice for my family. So now I am owning and operating a floral business, a clothing boutique, working full time, maintaining a home that requires me to be a full time mom and wife, keeping up with friendships and simply trying to survive. Because if this, I have decided to take a break from wedding florals in this season of life. Any of my current brides (I have already reached out to you), but just to reiterate, you are 100% still on my books and I am SO excited for your big days.

I have met SO many wonderful brides/couples, vendors and friends within this job, and I am forever thankful. Thank you for some really great memories! It was also really hard to choose only 10 pictures. 🥲

NOTE: I will still accept smaller jobs like mini sessions for photogs, wedding/baby showers, small events, etc.

Now that I can sit down & breathe — just sharing this for the memories. Here’s my month of beautiful weddings I got to flower for. I am such a lucky florist with the best brides. 🌼

When I went full time with Pampas + Petals , I eagerly took more weddings knowing I’d have all the time. Little did I know I’d be entering the boutique world too.

So on top of running a boutique, throwing Murphy’s 2nd birthday, being a mom & wife—my month of October weddings are complete. Not gonna lie, this past month was HARD. I cried a lot, was up way too late at night and I was absolutely running on fumes and no sleep for this whole month. SO thankful for Logan for helping and supporting me in every way, for my mama for being the best grandma and always watching Murphy when I had a wedding and Logan had Guard, for my amazing friends for running the storefront on Saturdays, and for so many others I’m sure I’m missing. 🤍

One more wedding this year for me and then it’s time for 2025 weddings! 🤍

I know these have already been on my story, and I’m for sure posting more when the professional pictures are done but I need this to be on my feed.

You know as a wedding vendor when you say you’re booked up, but then you have one more person want to book with you that month? I was completely booked for October—then my friend Jonna got engaged. She was about to pull off a 6 month turnaround for a wedding. I PRAYED for her to hire Pampas & Petals, even though I was booked up. HOW COULD I NOT?!

I’ve know Jonna since I can remember. Her mama was one of my 1st grade teachers and one of my 6th grade teachers. She graduated 3 years ahead of me, with my brother. I played volleyball with her, I cheered with her—she was my first back spot to me as a first time flyer, and the best one at that. She was the reason I made it a goal to be Student Body President my senior year. She’s also the only other person I know out of our tiny town to get a degree in fashion. 💅🏼😂

Just let it be known I love Jonna Hyatt-Barclay and I am SO LUCKY to have been apart of her day. 🤍
