It is true. Spinner Plastics will be closing permanently in the next few weeks.
Rhonda will be single-handedly answering phones and manning the shop to allow pick-up of completed orders from 4-1 through 4-5. We are still working to complete a lot of jobs and will be working on that for the next few weeks, as we also prepare to close and vacate 1108 N 1st Street.
Rich Pottier, from KnR/Tomahawk Awards, and Gary Funk of Funky's Trophy Place in Sherman have access to our art files and specs for jobs we've done for the last 20 years. They have the equipment and skills to continue to meet your needs for high quality awards and recognition products, produced locally.
Thank you for your loyal business over the last 46 years. It has been a great pleasure to be of service.

Congratulations, Jeff! Tomorrow is Jeff's last day at Spinner Plastics. He started in 1987, when we bought the Heinemann Specialty Awards store on 8th Street, across from Noonan's Hardware. He managed that location for a few years, until we consolidated into our current location.
Jeff then worked in sales, customer service and production.
Thanks for sticking with us through the 29 years of growth and change, Jeff. We're going to miss seeing you every day. We wish you the best in your future endeavors...golf, grandparenting and whatever else Shelley has planned for you!

I was walking across the Old Capitol Plaza yesterday when I spotted this old vacuum formed sign that Louie made back in the 1970's. This one still does the job.
And we can accurately say "they don't make them like that anymore ".
Nowadays we'd use vinyl letters or print on aluminum.

Have you seen the super-durable YETI stuff? We have a super-durable way to personalize the YETI stainless steel tumblers, can coolers and bottles (and other stainless things).
We apply a special emulsion to the stainless steel, and then laser it. When the heat from the laser hits this emulsion, it bonds it to the stainless steel.
The image is very durable. We messed up on one yesterday, and tried to scrub the messed-up image off with steel wool. I had to replace the cooler, as the image would not come off when scrubbed with steel wool and acetone.
We use this same process to personalize knife blades and handles, swords, axes and other raw metal items.
