Vase Recycling Event for Boy Scouts Troop 210!

Berries N Blooms is collecting vases at our booth at Farmer’s Market of the Ozarks on Saturday, June 20th (8am-1pm) and proceeds from each vase collected will go to support Troop 210.

Due to unfortunate circumstances affecting Immaculate Conception School, Troop 210 was unable to hold their annual garage sale this year. We typically buy over 100 vases each year to re-stock our supplies, and it is a huge fundraiser for them. So help Troop 210 and Berries N Blooms by bringing your vases on 6/20. Our booth is located under the pavilion across from Societea at Farmer’s Park: 2144 E Republic Rd.

Dahlias are here in May!

Here’s what I thought of them overwintering dahlias:
- so much better than digging up the tubers as long as you don’t want to split them to get more!
- earlier blooms with overwintering by at least a month
- 6” of leaf mulch covered with compost to hold in place and a black tarp to keep the water out did the trick
- the wettest area seemed to be the area the tubers didn’t survive

Will I do it again?
Absolutely!
