Last but never least. 🖤
We first met Aquino shortly after The Brood opened. She had just moved to the area, and her energy pulled us in immediately. When we learned about the work she was building through , we knew she belonged here.
📚 Third Estate Books is a horror publishing cooperative dedicated to Radical, Degenerate, Q***r, Weirdo Horror. They publish work that pushes the boundaries of terror and invites readers to sit with deeper questions about the world we live in. Liberation through horror. That’s the mission.
✨ Aquino Loayza is an Autistic Polyamorous Transfemme artist originally from Boston, now rooted in Springfield. She runs Third Estate Books, an indie press committed to publishing work the mass market won’t touch. Third Estate recently published the first Autistic Fiction Collection in United States history, alongside a growing catalog of bold, boundary pushing novels.
Outside of publishing, Aquino organizes in her community, makes music, creates art, watches cinema, and takes long walks with her Pug, Sushi.
She is our 4th and final friend we invited to fill our book cases. We are so glad she said yes. 🖤📚
