When my Mom and Pops fell ill in 2014 and the Doc said they would need 24 hr care, my wife and I had to make life-changing decisions that day. It was clear to us all, either find a nursing home for them both or... quit my job and come home. They choose not to be moved into assisted living quarters. That was a few yrs ago and nursing homes were quickly ruled out. I must admit it was hard not going
to work every day like I have all my life and needed something to do before cabin fever set in. So, I started selling R/C. I had some knowledge in the area and it seemed to sell ok plus it kept busy. We lost Mom Oct 9th, 2016. I will never regret the choice we made to move in to my parents home and assume the role as caregiver. My wife feels the same now but at the time it was hard for her to give up her home on lake Rayburn. I spent every day with my Mom for the last 3 years of her life on this earth. And still doing the same with Pops. So this is what we continue to do, live as a family for the best of the family. Now we also have our R/C family...
