💔 Houston and stationery community, we need your help.
On Thursday evening, around 5:31 PM, an individual walked out of our store in Spring, Texas, with a basket full of products without paying. At the time, half of our team was already at the venue setting up for Spooky Little Craft Fest.
A police report has been filed, and we’re asking our community to help us identify this individual. If you recognize her or have any information, please reach out to us privately. We would be so grateful for your help.
Honestly, my heart is broken. 💔 Between this incident and losing my personal Hobonichi journal, which I had placed at our LCF booth as a demo, it’s been an incredibly difficult few days. My journal held so many precious memories from our family trips.
Unfortunately, theft has become an ongoing issues for us, and it’s something we’ve been struggling to navigate as a small business. It’s difficult to put into words how discouraging it feels to see this happen repeatedly, especially when we put so much time, care, and love into building a place for our community. After so many years in business, we thought we had seen it all, but we’re still learning how to handle these challenges and protect what we’ve worked so hard to build.
Little Craft Place has always been about more than stationery. We want to create a welcoming space where our community can connect, discover new treasures, and feel at home.
To help protect our team and store, we’re implementing a no-bag policy. Backpacks, tote bags, and other large bags will no longer be allowed inside. Small purses are still welcome. Thank you for understanding as we take these steps to keep our shop safe.
To our wonderful community, thank you for standing by us and supporting our small business. We know these incidents don’t define our community, and we’re incredibly grateful for all the kind, honest people who have supported us throughout the years. 🫶
Please help share this post so it reaches the right people. Thank you for being here for us, through the good days and the difficult ones. ❤️
