I did a bunch of planting and weeding last week. I was so ready for a break!!!! So, we took a break. The North Shore was beautiful!

Things are growing! Planting took forever this year. I couldn’t figure out why….. but I think I maybe had too many projects going at once. My snapdragons are about to bloom as well as the lilies. Yarrow is already blooming. The summer flowers are getting closer.

It helped to have a break from the super hot weather! This poor little seedling I put out couldn’t hardly make it when it was so hot.

Planting this spring has been a slow process. I think I’ve been trying to do too many things at once. I finally got my chicken tractor finished! Now I have more time for other things.

My chicken will enjoy safe foraging. The risk of free ranging is too great.

There is a tarp over it for shelter and shade. Now, if only I had two.

First flowers of the year! Not selling tulips this year. I’m just enjoying them!

Lots and lots of seedlings growing in the shed. Planting outside will start as soon as I have time. Everything is tilled!

I had pictures from May 3rd of my plum trees blooming last year. They have bloomed already this year and they are just starting to fade. It appears we are a little ahead of last year.

The snapdragons are growing! They are one of my favorite flowers. I will have a nice range of colors. The other pictures are of some from last year when they were getting started.
