Donna Kallner was Inspired By the Amana Colony coiled straw bread rising baskets. She didn't have rye straw or slough grass, so used bulrush she harvested near her home in northern Wisconsin. Stay tuned to see what she did with it, and interpretations from other basketmakers who will be in our 2016 show.
