NEW YORK!!! WHAT ARE YOU READY TO GET RID OF?

Beginning June 11th, we’re heading back to New York with a simple question:

What in your home no longer serves you?

Maybe it’s clothing. Maybe it’s collectibles. Maybe it’s books, artwork, sports memorabilia, home goods, or something you’ve been meaning to let go of for years.

Every object has a story.

As part of our “Everything Is Beautiful” project, we’re inviting New Yorkers to share not only the things they’re ready to part with, but the stories behind them. We’ll be documenting these items, collecting their histories, and bringing selected pieces back to Florida where they’ll continue their journey through community yard sales, value exchanges, and new relationships.

Sometimes the greatest value isn’t what an item is worth.

It’s the space it creates.
The memory it preserves.
The connection it inspires.

If you have something you’re ready to release, we’d love to hear your story.

Everything is Beautiful.

As a long-suffering Knicks fan, Larry Johnson’s legendary four-point play remains one of my favorite New York sports memories. This bobblehead represented a season of life when sports consumed much of my attention and identity.

A Story About a Thing… LARRY JOHNSON BOBBLEHEAD

After the Porziņģis trade in 2019, I walked away from the Knicks frustrated and disappointed.

In the years that followed, I gradually let go of the sports culture that once occupied so much of my time and invested that energy into faith, community, and growth.

When this bobblehead sold for $5 this past Sunday, it wasn’t the beginning of letting go—it was the culmination of it.

Now, as the Knicks stand closer to a championship than at any point in my lifetime, I find myself watching from the outside looking in.

What a great day at the Yard Sale yesterday!

Thank you to everyone who came out to shop, sell, connect, and support the community. It was great to see neighbors finding treasures, sharing stories, and creating value through exchange.

Our Workshop was interrupted—in the best way—by neighbors stopping by to participate, so we’ll continue the conversation next Sunday.

This week’s assignment:

Identify something in your home that holds meaning or value.

• Recognize the value
• Release the item into the market
• Build connection through the exchange

Ask yourself: What stories do you have to tell about things?

Starting next week, the workshop will move to 2:30 PM to allow more time for Yard Sale cleanup.

We may also have a big announcement to share, so stay tuned!
