It’s lilac season, baby 💜 To celebrate, Hannah made an absolutely delightful rhubarb lilac syrup ~ we’re offering a sparkling lilac lemonade in the cafe this weekend, or try it with matcha or in a steamer. And because it’s also Mother’s Day tomorrow, we’re giving away a lilac candle with each order over $75 (while supplies last). Keep it for yourself and let lilac be your mom, or gift it to a deserving mom (all moms are deserving). We’re open until 2 today, and tomorrow 9-1. We hope to see you soon!

The prettiest worms I ever did see! I think this is the 3rd year violet gummies have made their way to the shop around now, this year for a very fun reason….

You’re invited to the shop TODAY for a Spring Green May Day Celebration! Businesses around town are offering fun, springy activities for the whole family, followed by a Maypole at 3pm and live music in the Post House Garden.

Here at Hedge Meadow, we’ll be making mud cups! Our very own , herbalist and sweet-treat kitchen wizard, made us some home-made “mud” and all the fixins’—including these herbal gummy worms—so you can build your own delicious cup.

We’ll be set up on the patio from about 10:30am until we close or run out. $10 to make one and cups are limited. Join us! Then stroll around town for more springy fun 🌷🌸🌕

You must know by now that I’m a lover of beeswax candles—and now we have the holders to go with them thanks to The Yellow Garage (+ a lot of other new-to-us old treasures for your kitchen and home, including the amazing frog basket 🐸)! Come by the shop to see what’s what. Open tomorrow and Saturday 9-2, Sunday 9-1.

I’m very pleased to announce that we now have a chai latte permanently on the cafe menu! It took us a while to figure out how best to offer one, especially since we’re pretty picky about them. Most concentrates either have no real spicy/aromatic flavor and/or are way too sweet (usually both), so we ended up making our own using masala chai. It’s so so good! Our concentrate is unsweetened, too ~ we’ll sweeten it to order with maple syrup from right here in the Driftless, making it a flavorful and creamy sugar-free option. Come by this blustery weekend to try one yourself! Open tomorrow 9-2 and maybe Sunday depending on the snowstorm.

Springy linen tea towels, plant-dyed silk scarves, tinctures galore, botanical skincare, books, journals, teaware + teas and other tools to support the nervous system, ceramics made right here in the Driftless… Sharing a few photos of what you can find in the shop right now ~ it’s starting to feel like spring!

We’re open regular hours this weekend: Friday & Saturday 9-2, and Sunday 9-1. However! True to March fashion, we might get 2 feet of snow on Sunday? We’ll keep you updated on the weather and any changes to our hours here. In the meantime, we hope to see you soon!

Happy Friday the 13th, Pal/Galentine’s/almost Valentine’s Day! Just a quick announcement that we’re officially back open for the season. I (Clare) am finishing up my official maternity leave and will be slowly easing back in over the next few weeks, while has been holding it down and working on some sweet things in the cafe. 2025 was a transformative year for Hedge Meadow, starting with our space! Renovating the building in Spring Green ~ removing A LOT of stuff, including an entire wall of fridges, installing fresh floors, drywall, lights, etc., putting in a new ADA bathroom, painting, lots and lots of cleaning (big shoutout to ) ~ and moving the shop over from Mazo. Here’s a look back over the last 12 months at the old depot glow up. We couldn’t have done it without the skilled hands of many competent folks!

Happy solstice from Hedge Meadow! The winter solstice has always felt to me like a more natural turning point than the Gregorian new year, and a more natural day to reflect on the last 12 months and vision into the next. I’m still wrapping my mind around all that’s happened the past year, but I know that I’m really proud of this space, really proud of the community we’ve created, and endlessly grateful for everyone who spends time here ~ whether you make purchases in the shop, attend workshops, swing by for latte, post up with a pot of tea, or simply come to say hello. I have a feeling 2026 is going to be a big year for all of us, that we’re going to need each other in new ways, and I hope that in some small way Hedge Meadow can be there for you if and when you need us. But tonight? Tonight we pause, we rest, we dream. Wishing you peace and quiet through the long, long night.

This is our last full weekend in the shop before winding down our hours for the year, then closing for the whole month of January. Our shelves are still stocked with thoughtful gift ideas and goods to get yourself through the holidays and into deep winter. Hedge Meadow herbal teas & teaware, green and black teas from , coffee, tinctures, art prints, witchy books, herb books, field guides and gardening books, beeswax candles, tarot decks and oracle cards, locally-made ceramics, botanical skincare and bath goods, chocolate and herbal candies, bulk herbs, salts and waxes to make your own blends for gifting, and more. Open today until 3, regular hours tomorrow and Monday, then we’ll be open just next Saturday & Sunday before closing down until February. Thank you so much for all your support this holiday season! If you haven’t made it in, we hope to see you before the year ends!
