Yes we have the exciting new Disney Collectible Card Game - Lorcana, available for sale starting Friday, August 18th! At our Northtown location. Please note some restrictions and special event information:
Since Ravensburger massively under printed Lorcana we have a limited supply. We have set some product set aside for our events.
-Learn to Play Events every Sunday at 12pm: $16.99 get a deck and learn the game.
-League Thursdays at 6pm: $5.99 play to win packs, troves, and gift starters and earn special promo cards, lore trackers, and pins just by showing up!
No holds. First come first serve. We have daily limits on product:
-2 packs per person per day
-1 deck of your choice per person per day
Unfortunately since we had so few troves and gift boxes come in those are reserved for tournament play.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! A long time customer who plays Pokemon at our store had his card collection stolen ($1,000 worth). It couldn't have happened to a more kind kid. As a valued member of our community (who has autism himself) he and his family have donated custom playmats in the past to raise autism awareness at our store. We're hoping others in our community can now come to their aid to replace what he's lost. If you have any pokemon cards you'd like to donate, please drop them off at any of our 3 locations and we'll get them to him!

Everyone receives a Play Pokémon League Pack for signing up (packs contain exclusive stamped promo cards), with Japanese 151 packs and additional League Packs as prizing! Top winners earn points to be accepted into the World Championships!

Craving the Vendor Hall a little bit early? Grab some merch at The Comic Book Shop (Northtown Mall) while picking up your badge on Thursday, July 6th! Our day zero pick up is at an anime store packed with Manga, anime novelties and figures, and even cosplay and cosplay wigs!
Find us in the back corner of the store - our pick up area will be where the tabletop gaming groups usually play. You also get a free badge ribbon to decorate the one you just picked up!

Craig - I stopped by the Comic Book Shop this weekend for the first time after moving out of Spokane 15 years ago, and lucked into seeing you there. Despite the years and only seeing a third of my face, you recognized and remembered me, and asked how we were doing, and if we were still reading comics. I made atrocious small talk for a few minutes before saying we had to get back on the road. But I wanted to go back and answer one of your questions the way I wish I had in person.
Am I still reading comics? Yes, I am. And it's all because of you. Three times in my life I nearly quit reading comics, and your generous spirit kept me going. When I was too broke as a kid to pick up an issue of X-Men, you let me read it in the store because you didn't want someone to spoil a big reveal for me (that Prof X was Onslaught, if that doesn't date both of us). 10-ish years later, "real" life kept me from making it in to pick up my subscriptions for almost 4 months, and when I showed up you had it all waiting for me, even though you had changed your policy a year before to only holding boxes for 2 months. You just said "I knew you'd be good for it." And the last time, when a celebrity author broke canon one too many times and I said I was cancelling all of my Marvel subscriptions, you pointed me to the just-relaunched Avengers series and suggested I give it a shot before walking away entirely. Issue 1 was already selling for six bucks, but you gave it to me for cover price. That comic not only sucked me back in, it also got the woman who is now my wife into Marvel as well.
But as I write this, I realize that these acts of generosity aren't even what I want to thank you for. Because what really made stepping into that store on Division feel like coming home is the spirit behind those acts. The way you recognized me and my wife after so long. It's the fact that you make comics feel like a community, and your stores a place where I could walk in not knowing anyone and still be sure that I'd have something to talk to those strangers about. When I moved away, I kept reading your newsletter because it made me feel like I was still a part of that community. I kept reading comics because connected me to other people, something I wouldn't have known without being part of the community you built. I have friends out here who read comics now, but even if I didn't, I'd know that I can walk into my local comic store and have something to talk to a stranger about. Something I wouldn't have if it weren't for you.
So thank you for continuing to do what you do, and be who you are. I'm sure there are thousands of people who go through your stores every day who could say this better than I, or who could have at least said it in person instead of making atrocious small talk. But just in case they don't say it, please know that you are loved and appreciated for who you are and for the community you create. Thank you.
