Late 1940s to early 1950s worsted wool flannel skirt suit, impeccably tailored and detailed. But the part that gets to me the most is the barely discernible reweaving in several spots. Caring for something so diligently melts my heart!

This 1950s dress is by the great California designer Peggy Hunt, whose “ultra-feminine clothes are the Marilyn Monroes and Jayne Mansfields of the garment industry.” (Chicago Tribune, November 14, 1958.
