After missing a few days (it's been busy!), I'm back with today's featured new material for my Lore Tracker Vaults! Up next is Black Walnut, otherwise known simply as Walnut. It's beautifully dark with clean grains. Walnut engraves fantastically, although the contrast of the engraving to the finished wood isn't as high as some other materials. I chose to use black velvet inside these boxes because the gray just didn't feel like it fit. The end result of nothing short of luxurious.

These are the movies and franchises currently included in the Lorcana universe! There are a few others that aren't in movie format or don't have a storyline that I can use for the lore tracker artwork, but if I missed any, let me know! They aren't in any particular order.

My updated combo set of Lorcana-compatible tokens now includes a "Can't Sing" keyword counter, by popular request with Ursula's Return. The Apprentice's Set includes one, while the Illumineer's Set includes four of them! I'm including these in current orders, but they won't be available to purchase separately until after the Kickstarter concludes. As always, let me know your thoughts and if you have any suggestions of new items to be included!

I've been working on collecting artwork for the 34+ Disney movies that are part of Lorcana TCG right now. There is going to be a LOT of work to be done when the Kickstarter ends! Here is an initial version of the lid for the Beauty and the Beast box that I've been tinkering with. Let me know what you think in the comments!

Next up on the featured woods list is Padauk, typically pronounced Pah-DUKE. One of my favorite woods because of its distinctly red-orange coloring, Padauk takes laser-engraving incredibly well. Since I typically use Padauk for the ink quill tracker, I opted for a Maple version for this box, as well as a couple other species I'll get to later! I love Padauk for this specific box, as the custom art is for The Little Mermaid!

One of the rewards on my upcoming Kickstarter will be a combo kit of both the Illumineer's Tracker Vault and the Essentials Tracker Vault. Both will include a full set of tokens designed to fit in their respective trackers. Today, I want to focus on Maple. Once Maple is sanded and a finish is added, this is one of the smoothest finishes of all. It's dense and heavy, and has a unique light-brown color once laser-engraved with artwork. The Padauk lore tracking ink quill has the perfect contrast to the light tone of Maple.

Today's featured material is Aromatic Cedar. Also known as Tennessee Red Cedar, among other names, this material smells absolutely amazing. It's the same material builder's line your closet with to keep moths from eating your clothes. Not only does it engrave beautifully, every box will look unique due to the wide variety of grain patterns and colors naturally occurring in this wood. It's a low-cost upgrade for all boxes that packs a punch!

Every movie gets it's own unique artwork on the lid. This one is for Alice in Wonderland, featuring the "Eat Me" and "Drink Me" items! Such a blast to create!
