We are very excited to announce that Chelsea Riches has joined us as a Steinway and Sons educational partner! Chelsea is a pianist and has been a professional music educator with more than 16 years of teaching experience. She holds a Master of Music in Performance from the University of Mississippi and is currently pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Southern Mississippi.
Chelsea is the founder and director of Riches Music Studio in D’Iberville, Mississippi, where she has developed one of the Gulf Coast’s largest piano programs. Through an innovative comprehensive group piano curriculum, she equips students with strong technical skills, artistic expression, music theory, ear training, sight-reading, and collaborative musicianship. Her students regularly perform in recitals, festivals, competitions, and adjudicated events, consistently demonstrating a high standard of musical excellence.
In addition to her work as an educator, Chelsea is a professional multi-instrumentalist specializing in piano, flute, and organ. She performs as a flutist with the Biloxi Civic Orchestra and serves on its Board of Directors. She is passionate about inspiring the next generation of musicians and is dedicated to redefining music education through engaging, high-quality instruction that fosters both musical achievement and a lifelong love of music.
