Funny how a life can take an unexpected turn.

A few years ago, I never would have imagined that a hobby would become a book, a business, speaking events, and a whole new chapter I’m building for myself.

There have been plenty of moments of doubt (and definitely some things that scared me), but there have also been so many moments that made me think, *wow… I’m really doing this.*

I have no idea where this journey is going. But I’m having a pretty great time finding out!

What a night. ❤️ Last night at Sunrise Cellars was another awesome milestone in this very meaningful journey I’m on with There’s This River.

A great group showed up, and they were genuinely interested and engaged. I shared the stories behind many of the wildlife photos in my book, and we had some really great conversations.

I left feeling incredibly grateful that I get to share this work with my community.

Huge thanks to Sunrise Cellars for opening their doors and generously sharing their space (and libations!). They host FREE community events regularly on Thursday nights. What a gift to have a place like this in our community. Definitely check them out! 🍷🥃🦉

Birding is having a moment... and honestly, I love it.

I've been photographing wildlife since 2017—back when people thought I was a little weird for standing knee-deep in mud waiting for a bird. 😅

Honestly? The more people looking up instead of down at their phones, the better.

Independent shops like The Curious Heart are one of the reasons I love living in Cranford.

They’re not just places to buy things—they’re places that reflect the people behind them. Every item feels thoughtfully chosen, and every visit feels a little different.

As a small business owner, it means so much to have There’s This River on their shelves. It’s an honor to be included among products and books that encourage people to slow down, recharge, and reconnect with themselves and the natural world.
