Here's a complete dcc install (and neaten up) using a NixTrainz Decoder Buddy, NixTrainz Power Bridge I Stay Alive, 2 Scale Sound Systems speakers and a SoundTraxx Blunami decoder by Larry Linger. This is a great video upgrade/conversion on a very fine locomotive.

Larry Linger did a video that exemplified superb soldering technique today. Good soldering is a very visual process. Pay attention to how the solder melts and then solidifies to form the joint. No movement while the solder resolidifies. This video is a fine example of how to upgrade the wiring in a locomotive as well. Thanks for sharing, Larry!!!

Larry Linger, "Solo Contracting" on YouTube has just published a very fine straightforward video today. Larry takes a stock Atlas HH660 and adds a LokSound 58429, a Scale Sound Systems ALMA-H600-RC1 speaker, a NixTrainx NTZ201 Power Bridge I stay alive, and an NTZ2 Decoder Buddy Mini. This could be your first very good video to watch to learn how soldering can be done very well and how any installation proceeds logically. It is also a pleasure to watch Larry methodically work through a locomotive upgrade!!! Thanks for sharing, Larry!

This is a new product for people who want to upgrade their ScaleTrains electronics. It does a number of tasks. It allows for a logical conversion to a SoundTraxx or other 8 output decoder, allows for the addition of a shell mounted light, it allows for replacement of problematic push pins through the small connector board, it eliminates the restrictions of JST connectors when modifying the lighting. Kits can come with one speaker for the pocket in the frame or two speakers, the second speaker sits on the frame by the Decoder Buddy. The stay alive is a Power Bridge III with two capacitors that are exactly like the ones on the ST motherboard. The three versions cover the different model's speaker requirements. Speakers are Scale Sound Systems. They are currently available on NixTrainz and Scale Sound Systems websites.
