We put our people’s names on our instruments because they put their hearts into making them.

To celebrate his three-year anniversary, Will Ehster requested to build an Orchestra Model. As the team talked it through, it became obvious that this couldn’t be a one-off and an OM certainly belonged in the Iris lineup.

Steady, precise, and never showy, Will’s fingerprints are on more Iris guitars than he’d ever admit. Now his initials are on one too.

For his personal WE guitar, Will opted for a natural finish over a Torrefied Sitka Spruce top, 3pc Brazilian Rosewood back and sides (more on that to come) and no pickguard.

Introducing: the WE model. Our newest Orchestra Model and a long time coming.

The 14-fret OM has been the working players answer to an old problem since the 1930s: real volume and definition from a guitar that still sits easy in your lap. We built the WE to that original recipe — a full 25.5" scale length, Sitka Spruce top and scalloped Adirondack bracing.

Strum it. Flatpick it. Drop it to DADGAD. The WE doesn't ask you to choose.

Every bridge pin on an Iris guitar is hand-fit during our set up process. Our standard pins are off-white plastic with a 3° taper, .202" shaft diameter and a 0.070" string slot. If you ever swap them out, keep in mind that pins from other manufacturers may fit differently due to slight production variances. Our team is always happy to help if you're unsure about compatibility.

The Lovin' Spoonful legend has been playing an OG model for a few years, but at last months he fell for this 12-fret DF and took it home! Featuring a beautiful sunburst finish over a Torrefied Sitka Spruce top and Big Leaf Maple back and sides.
