Here's what you need to know:

ℹ️ Create custom UTM codes for the products you want to sell
ℹ️ OR create a special link you only use for the campaign
ℹ️ Run a consideration campaign with keywords & interests to bring in a new cold audience

What I wish I would have known sooner about lead magnets…

It’s not about giving someone something for free.

It’s about giving someone something so valuable they can’t help but take the next step you already laid out for them.

Not everyone is ready to pay you when they meet you. They may not even be ready to buy from you after being in your ecosystem for a month.

People need time and a lead magnet can do this for you & them.

Get them into your ecosystem, nurture them and lead them to the next step with you. That first paid step.

There are 4 things you need to do to create a converting lead magnet…

* Your audience must find the lead magnet offer valuable
* There must be actual value inside
* It must solve a problem for them
* Offers a next step

🚮 Posting from your shop directly to Pinterest using the chrome extension

This is getting accounts marked as spam and they are losing appeals to get them back. Don’t do this. A big Etsy teacher is teaching this and we’re just not going to take that advice anymore.

🚮 Just posting products that are “highly converting” from your catalog and never making actual Pinterest pins that link back to that listing.

I mean it’s the same person as the above giving this advice so let’s just not. Make actual Pinterest pins please, your pinners will thank you.

🚮 Group Boards

I honestly cannot believe I still have to say this in 2023 but I’m getting messages and comments about it again so here it is… stop using group boards that aren’t optimized for the platform that are also a massive catch all for niches. Just stop.

🚮 80% free content / 20% paid content

There isn’t a black and white here. If you’re an e-commerce seller especially & taking this advice you’re going to burn out fast. Just go with the flow. Here’s my ideal weekly posting rhythm right now:

🌥 1 paid product per day
🌤 1 free lead magnet per day
☀️ 1 free blog post per day

But I am not you and you are not me so just pin your content already.

🚮 Just run ads everyday for $5 to your blog posts to boost your organic reach.

What in the sam hell?! No. That’s going to boost your paid reach and when you turn the ads off your “reach” is going to plummet. Just no.

In the wise words of Pamela Pumpkin… Toxic advice? Run the other way… 🚶‍♀️
