The Only Game In Town

Not sure how many people still follow this page so I'll keep the post simple. Many of you hopefully know after The Only Game In Town closed, the employees planned to open a store of their own as a hopeful replacement.

That took a lot longer than anyone expected, and for that I apologize. But I am happy to announce, we have gotten a location and are finishing the process of setting everything open. *Knock on wood* We should be opening our doors at Sanctorium Games soon in Flemington NJ. I do want to clarify we are NOT associated with the previous ownership of The Only Game In Town.

For all the friends we still have out there, we hope you check us out. We can't replace what was lost but we hope we can provide something exciting and new. While, I still have access to this page, I do not check it, which I think is reasonable. So if you have any questions or comments you post here, I can try my best to respond but, I cant make any promises.

We hope you've all been doing well.

To our loyal customers,

We regret to announce The Only Game In Town will be closing its doors after February 12th 2022. Due to insurmountable circumstances, the business, as it is, cannot continue. Financially we continue to be profitable thanks to our very loyal network, but due to a myriad of issues it seems we cannot make a full recovery into our Pre-Covid model. We want to thank everyone for the decades of patronage. We definitely felt the love through this period of struggle, and appreciate everyone who expressed their support. For many, The Only Game In Town has played an important part in their lives. We even know of a few people who met their spouse here! We are glad to have shared these memories with you. While the store is closing, former staff have been planning to open their own store, we’d like to update you as that becomes more of a reality. In the interim, we are still operating as normal, so you have plenty of time to use any gift cards you may have.

We also ask that you refrain from asking employees for further information in respect of their privacy.

This Black Friday, we’re keeping it simple. Stop in Friday the 26th, or Saturday the 27th for 20% off most every item in the store. The offer excludes Pokémon products, already discounted items, and Magic singles.
