Hall of famers come in all shapes and sizes, and in Abilene, some of our favorites have four legs.

The Greyhound Hall of Fame museum celebrates the incredible dogs, owners, breeders and trainers who helped shape the history of the greyhound breed and racing industry. From legendary champions to the people behind their success, it is a one-of-a-kind museum experience that honors speed, loyalty and excellence.

This week, that story comes to life as the National Greyhound Association hosts its Spring Meet in Abilene, May 18–22. For more than 100 years, this showcase event has brought together breeders, buyers, racing enthusiasts, track representatives and adoption leaders to celebrate their shared love of greyhounds. Rising racing stars will take to the track, stakes races will be featured and standout dogs will be recognized.

Whether you are a lifelong fan or simply curious about these amazing athletes, there is no better time to celebrate Abilene’s greyhound heritage.
