Blessing of the Animals
Friday, October 4, 2024, at 5:30 p.m.

In celebration of the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, known for his love of all of God's creatures, Our Lady of Solitude Church will hold a Blessing of the Animals prayer service in the parking lot.

Animal lovers are invited to bring their pets to have them blessed and gently sprinkled with holy water. The service is a way of thanking God for the pets that bring joy to so many.

Bendición de los animales.
Viernes, 4 Octubre del 2024 a las 5:30 p.m.

Al celebrar la fiesta de San Francisco de Asis, conocido por su amor a todas las creaturas de Dios, la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Soledad tendrá la tradicional bendición de los animales, se llevara a cabo en el estacionamiento. Todos los que amen a sus animalitos son invitados a traer a sus mascotas para ser bendecidas y rociar cuidadosamente agua bendita sobre ellas.

Está bendición es una manera de agradecerle a Dios por el gozo que nuestras mascotas dan a mucha gente.

On this night... 23 years ago 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift. None of them saw past 10:00am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.
