It was a great 7 1/2 years, thank you everyone. Especially Maison for the help Monday. Jasper, and Dylan thank you both for so much help moving.

And an extra special thank you to Curtis for everything over the life of the shop.

Ben and Val we never would have been able to start without you.

I made some great friends, and I am sure a few enemies. So long and thanks for all the fish.

7 years ago in April, two friends took a pointless trip to Albuquerque to try to buy Magic. Returning home empty handed, they began to dream. What if they opened their own store in Socorro? Over the next few months, they got more serious, and Halloween 2018, World Tree opened its doors to the community.

Since that time, there have been ups and downs, unfortunately lately, mostly downs, and as such, I have made the decision to close.

7 years ago in April Ben and I drove to visit a game store in Albuquerque. I called ahead to see if there was any commander happening, if they had buy-a-box promos for Dominaria, if they had a coup…

World Tree is hosting, and organized by SLDF-Mechwarrior (Curtis Warren), a BattleTech Grider this Saturday. There is one seat left, entry is $15. Carnage starts at 3pm.

A BattleTech Grinder is the most popular event Catalyst runs at GenCon and Origins, and possible worldwide.

The Grinder is a casual event great for all ability levels where players only pilot one mech at a time. The general idea of the Grinder is that players start with a simple, small mech that uses basic weapons and rules. When they die they get a bigger, better mech as it were that has slightly more complicated weapons and rules.

It is a 6v6 Battle Royale, each player starts with 1 mech. Once that mech is destroyed you get a larger more powerful mech, until the ultimate Mech Warrior is left standing.
