Thinking about keeping a betta with shrimp? It might look like a peaceful combination, but sometimes it can turn into a tiny underwater hunt! Bettas are natural predators, and some will happily chase, attack, and even eat shrimp. Even if your betta seems calm at first, its hunting instincts can kick in anytime. Smaller shrimp and baby shrimp are especially vulnerable. So while bettas and shrimp can sometimes coexist, it’s never guaranteed. If you want to keep both, provide plenty of hiding spots and be prepared for the possibility that your betta may see its shrimp tank mates as a tasty snack!

We are now an authorized vendor for Shrimp Envy!

We have started using this food on a weekly basis and they absolutely LOVE it! The shrimp pile takes a minute to form! We really started getting into this feeding regimen to help with tank culling and bagging for swaps but its become a ritual now seeing just how much they do love this food!

We will have some with us at all of our swaps, and will also have on hand in our fish room for locals who wish to pick some up!

Pleco Santa Claus paid a visit overnight. Super reds spawned again and for the first time in a hot minute, our 519s spawned too! Every species of BN we have has spawned atleast once in the last 6 weeks!
