Event tokens for Chaos Wars XXIV. I was honored to once again make tokens for one of my favorite events. This one was particularly special since it featured the elevation of Dragoon Antoinette (Kayla Harris), Moosewitch and consummate event organizer/Belegrim wrangler.

Calligraphy and artwork scroll for the elevation of “Pip” Kayla Mahoney to Master of the Belegarth Artificer Guild. Gouache and colored pencil. Artwork features a stylized Artificer Master hammer and anvil, Pip’s weapons, my impression of a kobold in Pip’s colors, and a marginalia combative rabbit. It was such a wonderful time to dust off my nibs and do some calligraphy again to make a gift for a respected artisan and friend.

We grow our own garlic at home, so naturally I have tried to apply some woodworking and laser marking. On the left is a tool for poking holes at a consistent spacing for planting the cloves. The stakes were marked on the laser with the names of this year’s varieties. The mallet is an old friend that I made long ago from a dense chunk of shipping pallet - works well on garden stakes and bench chisels.
