I've always admired the Becker line of knives. My first was the bk9, it was really my gateway knife when it came to the survival/woodland blade genre. In particular the bk4 has always intrigued me. The radical angles, the khukri-esque blade shape. I've been fortunate enough to have met some very great people in this industry, and I was able to meet Ethan Becker. I saw all the original iterations of the design. He used it, and tested it, made changes. It really cultivated a love for larger blades in me. But being a knifemaker as a profession, sometimes your decisions are made for you. In recent years, smaller knives have been the best sellers, so thats what I've made. They may not do "well" in this economy, but I want to get back to making big knives, that make you want to go to the woods just to chop things like a Neanderthal.
