We have new Estill County Agates in the shop!
🪨 How They’re Found
Local collectors search creek beds after rains, when fresh erosion reveals new material. Agates often appear as dull, rounded nodules on the outside — but cut them open, and you’ll find the magic inside. The creeks of Estill County are famous for producing some of the finest agates in the state, but it takes patience, a good eye, and a little luck to spot them. This picture shows part of the process to tumble the agates to make them look like the ones on our shelves! Stop in before they are gone - each one is unique!
Open 10-6 tomorrow.
