This D-BA has one of our favorite sunburst - to***co gold 💗and a very special set of Brazilian rosewood with companion Brazilian fretboard and head plate! Stunning all around for a past flatpick camper who ventured to Sisters a few years back! Happy to get this one on its way to Missouri!

Had the pleasure of going to Suttle Lake On Thursday night to hearJoel Chadd- one of our favorite musicians in Central Oregon. He has a long history with Thompson Guitars and love seeing how his Guitar top has really aged over the years to a deep Amber. His songwriting is inspiring and heartfelt ! He’s also opening up for Brian Parsons next Thursday in Sisters at the Belfry.! come out and support local music 😍🙌☀️

So many happy times with Matt Behnke at the shop - what a team player and the shop mentally and physically benefited from his can do attitude!! he started in finish and moved to set up over the years - we will miss him so much - not only was he an amazing craftsman in guitar making but he would tackle anything with his 30 plus years of wood working skills knowledge! From bathroom remodel, back deck install, helping with compressor/vacuum pump replacement, building all sorts of things in the shop to be more organized - he is efficient and works smart! Not only all of that but came up with the social media post of “case reveal” played so many guitars on camera / made Timelapse videos / funny videos - always creative- is a talented musician in the fabulous band Sky Bound Blue / box guitar maker - really can’t say enough of his contribution to this company - we wish him great success in the future of custom home building ! thank you thank you Matt!!! Not your typical case reveal..... So this idea has been in the works for awhile —- we’ve been thinking about changing the name - you know give the company a fresh new look - what do y’all think? This crazy idea was created by yours truly Christine Funk 😅🤪🤩🤩😜 I have to say it was a funny morning meeting - I think I got a few of the crew for a split second!!! and we would never never change the name!!!

When we spray our guitars, we need to connect a handle / we drill a hole through the head block- attach the handle with a wingnut, and then we use a very special head block wood cover inside the guitar- it is a little piece of Thompson history - a small branding iron the Preston used back in the day when he was a single builder in Bend! We love this tradition to cover the handle hole 👀🙌😍🤩 happy Friday - everyone have a musical weekend 💕
