Major transformation for this ‘84 Tama, Red T badge, made in Japan set of Swingstars. They were black and I wanted something totally different so some fresh Green Pearl it was.
The 12” depth power tom didn’t suit me so I cut it down to a manageable 10x13”, plugged some holes, drilled some new ones and gave them all a fat 3/16” roundover edge. Also touched up the Zola Coating on the interiors.
This kit belonged to my wife’s dear friend, Bryan Haygood, when she & I were dating and ended up with Gayle Kenney after Bryan died. Gayle and I made Bryan’s Mom a table top lamp out of the 12” rack tom and then Gayle gave the rest of the kit to me. They will always be with us.
