In Loving Memory of the $200 NFA Tax Stamp
June 26th, 1934 – January 1st , 2026
Born during the Great Depression, the NFA Tax Stamp spent nearly a century convincing Americans that $200 was a perfectly reasonable amount… for-ever.
It lived a full life of paperwork, fingerprints, passport style photos, and long, meaningless waits. While the process itself unfortunately soldiers on, the tax portion has finally been laid to rest, leaving behind empty withdrawal envelopes, lighter wallets, and a collective sense of disbelief.
The stamp is survived by Form 4s, background checks, and approvals that still take their time — just without the tax cover charge.
Services will be held immediately.
Of Course - No payment required.
In lieu of flowers, please submit fingerprints and select a can
Rest in peace, $200. You were persistent.
