This past month has been all about finding local suppliers. We recently acquired some pieces of cypress. The log had already been drying for 18 months, but it was just cut yesterday so the pieces are acclimating to an indoor environment. Now, what to make out of them. Oil holders.....bonsai stands?

Remember when I said we were going to move into making bonsai stands and slabs? I also mentioned making jitas to display suiseki & viewing stones along with accent pieces. Well, we’ve started!!

Greg went wood shopping yesterday. I also found out that he’s been collecting wood for the past 6 years to make these things and had been keeping it in the garage. I guess he’s been thinking about making these for awhile.

The smaller essential oil holder has 5 holes that hold 15ml bottles. The larger one has 12 holes that hold 15ml bottles and a diffuser in the middle.

These past few days have been a whirlwind. It all started with a Holiday Boutique last Saturday. Greg made me some wood essential oil holders to sell and EVERYONE liked them! We've received 17 orders with barely any advertising and sales have already gone international. It's been crazy.

Greg & I have always wanted to open up a shop together with the word Plethora in it. We discussed that we would sell items that represented our talents and interests. We just didn't realize that this would be the time!

We are starting with essential oil holders because I love oils and Greg loves wood. We'll be moving into bonsai stands and jittas for suiseki and viewing stones. Then, who knows? This will keep us busy for awhile.
