WORKSHOP WEDNESDAY: Getting Cacti-fied at the Forge! 🛠️🌵

The midnight oil is burning over at the Rustic Roots forge as brand-new designs shape up for the weekend! Today, the curtain pulls back on the step-by-step grind behind the latest metalwork creation.

The goal was a striking new flower concept, built entirely out of raw industrial hardware. To make this bloom incredibly rich and leafy, it takes a lot of horseshoes! 🐎✨

🔨 Step 1: The Horseshoe Leaves > It takes two individual horseshoes to make just one leaf. They are pounded on opposite sides to get a perfect inner curl, sliced down, and welded together for a flawless, heavy-duty leaf shape.

🪙 Step 2: The Layered Blooms > For the center stems, metal washers are sliced with intricate slits all the way around, then the tabs are carefully rotated and bent to create highly textured, multi-layered flower spikes.

🏗️ Step 3: The Assembly > Once the flower stalks are locked onto a sturdy rebar foundation, those custom horseshoe leaves are welded around the base, building a beautiful, symmetric metal plant from the ground up!

🌵 The Workshop Crew! > Waste not, want not! Leftover scraps from the horseshoe cuts are transformed into the base of brand-new round barrel cacti topped with washer-art flowers. A couple of classic, rugged prickly pear cacti are also shaping up beautifully alongside them.

What's next? 🎨
The very first coat of paint just went onto this leafy masterpiece today, but the final color is a total secret for just a couple more days!
