Last year, Sweet Confections created the most adorable ice cream-and-yarn-themed cupcakes for our Summer Kickoff & Grand Opening, and we absolutely can't wait to see what sweet magic they create for us again this year! 🍦🧢✨

I had to add the AI label because otherwise you'd never be able to tell that Merrilee was imposed into the photo! 😜

She wasn't able to make it to our final Two-at-a-Time Toe-Up Sock Class gathering, but we really wanted to make sure she was part of the class photo with her beautiful finished socks. If you look closely, you might even spot a few extra Merrilees hiding around the shop... 🀣

In all seriousness, I'm so proud of this group! Over the past several weeks they learned how to cast on two socks at once, using a seamless toe-up method, knit two-at-a-time on Magic Loop, work a gusset, heel and heel flap, and finish a pair of custom-fit handmade socks.

One of the best things about knitting two socks at a time is that when you finish, you're DONE. No second sock syndrome. No trying to remember modifications. Just a beautiful, finished pair ready to wear. 🧦🩷

Congratulations Pam, Michelle, and Suzanne! And congratulations to Merrilee, who not only finished her socks but somehow managed to climb onto the top shelf for the class photo. 🀣✨

✨ One of my favorite moments in the shop is getting to see those β€œit finally clicked!” moments happen. ✨

Last weekend, Michelle took Anna’s Crochet Chart Reading Class (and made that fabulous bandana that she's wearing 😍), and today she came into the shop with this beautiful piece from her crochet-along 😍

She told me she had been really struggling with the pattern, which included a chart she couldn’t understand, and she had gotten really behind.
But after taking the class, she was able to read the chart, and finish this entire section! πŸ₯ΉπŸ’•

THIS is why learning new skills matters. Sometimes one small technique suddenly opens up a whole new world of patterns and confidence.

I’m so proud of her and so thankful for amazing teachers like Anna 🩡

And good news… Anna’s next class will be announced at our Strawberry Shortcake Summer Launch Party on June 15th πŸ“βœ¨ And trust me, you definitely won't want to miss this one!!!

Everyone’s bandanas turned out absolutely adorable and it was so fun seeing everyone learning how to read crochet charts while creating something they can actually wear!
