Two big story times coming up this month! Ellie Peterson will be here on Sunday 5/17 at 11 am to read from her picture books - perfect for PNW summer time. And the following week on 5/24, Chloe Ito Ward and Julia Kuo will be coming - both have new picture books out, “Chopsticks Are” and “Bing’s Cherries.”

We are obsessed with our new store tote bags (and with this photo - thanks for modeling, Mary!). Art by local artist .em.sketches, the bag itself was made locally by , and the printing was done by a local company, . This little ecosystem of small businesses all working together to create a really great tote bag - and the quality speaks for itself.

This is how the world could work. It doesn’t have to be all chain stores and corporations.
