Our first boil this season was March 7th and we ended the season with 917 gallons of maple syrup with the last boil on April 1st. Short season but a hectic one. Good sap runs where on March 25th, a whooping 5200 gallons of sap was collected! Right out of the gate, it looked like dark robust was our season's future.
Fast forward to April 13th our last day of pulling taps and leaving the sugarbush to embrace spring! Peepers were in woods harmony and wildflowers were starting to show. It's been a good season and we are beyond grateful. Now looking forward to working with the peaches. Tim has started the pruning process and was scouting more places to plant 500 young Christmas trees. I see seedlings, shovel and dirt in my near future!
