It was a night of fun and friendship as we had three groups rolling out for the 2nd in our Women's MTB ride series!

Deb once again took the lead of the Welcome/Intermellow group, while Amy guided the Intermediate crew with Leslie providing sweep support, and Kristin led Advanced group through Sherborn's technical and newer trails.

All returned to the Shop for beverages provided by our friends at NEMBA's Blackstone Valley Chapter.

The next ride is scheduled for Wednesday, July 1 - visit SteveTheBikeGuy.com for details or to sign up (the rides are free but space is limited so registration is required).

With attention focused on and at the state level, what should parents and caregivers know to help keep kids and teens safe?

First, check out Kara Oberg’s guest post “A Parent’s Guide to Safe & Legal E-bikes for Teens” on our MassBike blog: https://www.massbike.org/guest_post_a_parent_s_guide_to_safe_legal_e_bikes_for_teens

Then, rewatch our webinar co-hosted with MassDOT, MassBike, and The Ride Cafe on an overview of the micromobility landscape and what it means for teens. Jaclyn Youngblood from MassDOT and Kara Oberg from Ride Cafe presented on updates from the Massachusetts Special Commission on Micromobility, pending micromobility legislation, and the difference between e-bikes and e-motos:

We may be taking the week off, but the show must (kind of) go on! We are throwing it back to one of our favorite episodes from the past year...

Kristin and Steve hold a mirror up to Steve’s own bicycle purchasing decisions as they discuss something they’ve observed in the Shop – riders who have really (really) nice bicycles and gear, who may not spend quite as much on their partner’s bike.

Last night we kicked off the 5th year of our Women’s MTB series! It was a nice to see old friends as well as welcome new riders to the group.

With support from our ride leaders we were able to send out two groups of riders - special congratulations to Leslie W. for successfully leading her first group ride!

Thank you to Blackstone Valley NEMBA for supporting our rides and to the local volunteers for the excellent trail conditions.

Our next No Drop, No Apologies ride is Wednesday, June 17 - joining is free but registration is required. Visit SteveTheBikeGuy.com for more details.
