The Brevity Thing plays Friday night in Shelburne’s Town Hall to celebrate and support storytelling friends—with words spoken, written, and sung. The band includes talented local musicians: Dave Ball (guitar, harp), Jom Hammack (mandolin), Sue Schmidt (drums) and Steve Goldman (upright bass) in a versatile blend of musical styles that features strong vocals and harmonies, TBT cover songs, and a few wild originals. The Brevity Thing joins comedic storytellers Kevin Gallagher, Sue Schmidt, and Bobby Stoddard in a benefit performance to help support the work and mission of Voices of Vermonters Publishing Group, a 501(c) 3 organization.
